Service opportunities include working at our pantry, sorting items, cleaning, making deliveries  to clients, hanging up clothing in our clothing closet, delivering meals to the home-bound, serving meals at our senior luncheon and many other ways.

What We Do…

Senior Meals on Wheels

Senior Meals to the home-bound are delivered to seniors 60 years of age or older by volunteers Monday, Wednesday and Friday. ASCET Program-a monthly food program for low-income seniors in Kent County (formerly known as the “cheese program”)

Senior Meals Programs, INC delivers meals to seniors living in the Cutlerville, Byron and Caledonia areas. Meals are delivered Monday, Wednesday and Friday by volunteer drivers. Joni Knoch is the site coordinator of the program for the Byron Center area. We are always looking for drivers for this program. The rewards are great. One senior described it this way. “Each meal comes with love.” If you are interested in being a part of this vital ministry, please give us a call at 878-6000 ext. 13.

Personal Care Distribution

Offered to needy persons or families monthly. This is available each Monday 3-6 p.m and Wednesday from 11a.m-2 p.m

Clothing Distribution

Available to all clients free of charge. This is each Monday 3-6 PM and Wednesday from 11AM-2PM.

Senior Luncheons

Fresh, raw vegetables on the table

Held at noon at BCM on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from Sept.-May.

U.S.D.A. Commodities Distribution

Offered 4 times a year to our client families.


Offered by a professional counselor at BCM on Mondays,Tuesdays and Thursdays. Flu Shot Clinic-offered once a year
